A PILOT has died after two gliders crashed into each other while coming in to land at an airfield near Oxfordshire.
Emergency services rushed to the airfield in Hinton-in-the-Hedges, Brackley – which borders Oxfordshire – at about 4pm yesterday (May 25).
Northamptonshire Police said it is investigating the incident after a 45-year-old man died following the crash.

A force statement read: " An investigation is underway after a 45-year-old man sadly died following a collision between two gliders at an airfield, near Brackley.
Northamptonshire Police and the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances around the incident to understand the cause of the collision.
"They will remain at the site while this takes place."
