Dozens of police officers were in central Oxford today as pro-Palestinian protests continued at the university.
A University of Oxford building at Wellington Square was placed under lockdown after student protesters connected to Oxford Action for Palestine staged a sit-in in the administrative building.

The group has said 16 students were arrested and told they could not leave the building, leading to more than a hundred supporters - including students and staff - gathering outside.

There have been hours of chants as well as allegations of police dragging students - including one incident witnessed by an Oxford Mail reporter.
Thames Valley Police has not confirmed these arrests or released any comment on the incidents.
The offices at Wellington Square are part of the University's administration and services department.
The University of Oxford has also been contacted for comment.
