An accessible boat club is looking for a new volunteer to lead its fundraising team.
Wallingford Accessible Boat Club, a small charity that enables disabled and less mobile people to experience boating on the River Thames for free, has a vacant position.
The role of fundraising lead will involve developing and implementing an annual fundraising plan with the assistance of a small team, and delivering it in a timely fashion.
The club uses WOW-one, a small, bespoke boat with a drop-down bow that enables both wheelchair users and ambulant easy and safe access.
Not only will the fundraising lead be ensuring the club's continued success by meeting their annual target, but they will also be expected to maintain a positive image of the club to the public.
The lead will work closely with the fundraising team, "retaining their motivation and goodwill".
They will also keep track of the cost budget and secure approval from the trustees.
An experienced fundraiser in the voluntary sector or a dedicated individual willing to learn could be suitable for the role.
The desired volunteer will be lively, enthusiastic, possess excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities, and be prepared to devote a few hours each month to the club.
The club has seven sponsors and the support of patrons , Cala and Adrian Pike, The Lord Bradshaw and Lady Diana Bradshaw.
