TV presenter Ant McPartlin's Oxford-born ex-wife is said to be "distraught" over the news that he has become a father.

Make-up artist Lisa Armstrong, who grew up in Blackbird Leys and attended Peers School, married the Britain's Got Talent star in Taplow, Buckinghamshire, in July 2006.

Mr McPartlin's friend and co-presenter Declan Donnelly was best man and the reception was held at Cliveden.

However, the couple split up in 2018 after 11 years, five months as Mr McPartlin left rehab.

Following the split Mr McPartlin started a relationship with Anne Marie Corbett, who was formerly his personal assistant, and they married in 2021.

Ms Armstrong was reportedly left heartbroken when she found out the couple were expecting their first child through the Press despite the fact they were said to be 'friendly' at the time.

Last week Mr McPartlin, 48, announced the news on the joint Instagram account he has with Donnelly that he had become a dad.

Sharing a black and white picture showing a tattoo on his shoulder and the baby’s covered head, Mr McPartlin wrote: “Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick McPartlin.

“Born on May 14 at 8.54am

“Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sister's are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!”

According to reports, Ms Armstrong was 'distraught' and has fled to Portugal.

Friends told Mail Online that she feels 'very wronged' by Mr McPartlin, whom she had helped through a time of great personal difficulty.
