Councillor Maggie Filipova-Rivers is cabinet member for housing and community hub and the statutory deputy leader.

Economic development and regeneration is the responsibility of councillor Robin Bennett, who is also deputy leader.

Finance and property assets are under the jurisdiction of councillor Pieter-Paul Barker, while councillor Sam Casey-Rerhaye is cabinet member for corporate services.

Communities will be managed by councillor Georgina Heritage, councillor Sam James-Lawrie has been appointed cabinet member for environment, and planning will be overseen by councillor Anne-Marie Simpson.

Mr Rouane said: "I’d like to thank our existing cabinet members and welcome our new cabinet members.

"I believe we have a good balance of a cabinet with a wealth of experience and abilities, alongside three new members who will, I have no doubt, bring a fresh approach.

"We have made the decision to split the community wellbeing portfolio into two - housing and communities - as the amount of work that we are doing in those areas continues to grow.

"I’d also like to take a moment to thank those cabinet members who have stepped down, who have, many for a number of years, worked tirelessly on the cabinet."
