A vigil is set to be held for a former University of Oxford student who is currently detained in an Iranian jail.
Johan Floderus studied philosophy, politics and economics at Harris Manchester College from 2011-2014.
After graduating he worked as a Swedish diplomat at the EU in Brussels with a particular interest in refugees.
Returning from a trip to Iran in April 2022, he was arrested at the airport and since then has been held in Evin jail in Tehran.
There are concerns from Mr Floredus' family and friends about the condition he is living in.
The college will stage the vigil for Mr Floderus on June 1 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
Nazanin Zaghari Ratcliffe will speak at the vigil, which will commence with a silent walk around central Oxford and conclude with refreshments back at the college.
Ms Zaghari Ratcliffe was detained in Iran in 2016 and was released in March 2022.
She had been arrested in Iran on spying charges, which she denies.
Mr Floredus' former economics tutor at the university ran Oxford 10K on Sunday, May 12, to raise awareness of the situation of her former student.
A petition calling for the safe return of Mr Floderus has received 10,048 signatures.
He had visited Iran on a number of occasions over the years to experience and learn about the country’s culture, traditions and language.
