A DEVELOPER with a 'vision' for an Oxfordshire village has submitted plans to build new 'distinctive' homes despite having previously had their application refused.
Hayfield Homes would like to build 10 houses in Finmere on land north of Banbury Road in the northern part of the county.
Cherwell District Council lists the application on its planning portal with a target decision date of July 26 and comments due by June 7.

An applicant planning paper, which leads on the header 'a vision for Finmere', says: "New development north of Banbury Road, Finmere provides an opportunity to create a distinctive and high-quality place to live.
"Within walking distance of local amenities with strong connections to the wider area, the development allows for the natural growth of Finmere village while being considerate of the existing rural landscape.
"The materials and green infrastructure will take inspiration from the surroundings as well as recognising new approaches to urban design and place making."
Plans to build 10 homes have been put forward after the developer saw its initial proposal to build 30 houses on the site refused.
In dismissing the appeal, the inspector had concluded: "The proposed development of up to 30 homes would be too large in relation to the range of local services and facilities, leading to a significant amount of vehicular travel to other centres".
An application has been submitted by the developer in outline meaning it is yet to include design-related details for the houses.
