Two home care providers have enjoyed multiple successes at a regional awards event.
Home Instead Maidenhead, Henley and Wallingford and Home Instead Abingdon, Didcot and Newbury walked away with top accolades at The Berkshire Care Association Care Awards 2024.
Team members from both offices reached the finals and enjoyed positive recognition.
They received three awards and were highly commended in two categories.
The care awards honour achievements in all Care Quality Commission registered, Berkshire-based adult care settings.
They recognise the dedication and support that staff provide to their clients across Berkshire.
Both offices won the Care Service Recognition Award which honours the ongoing dedication of all team members within a service who provide excellence in care for all their clients.
Care professional Julia Brinsden bagged the Homecare Worker Award, while her colleague, Rachel Spillane, received highly commended in the same category.
This acknowledges individuals who provide outstanding care and compassion to their clients, and who have a willingness to develop and go the extra mile.
Pippa McIlwraith, care co-ordinator at Home Instead Maidenhead, Henley and Wallingford, was highly commended for the Newcomer to Care Award.
This honour celebrates individuals who have been working for a social care provider for less than 12 months but have already demonstrated a passion and commitment to caring and supporting the people they work with.
Melissa Johnson, director of Home Instead Maidenhead, Henley and Wallingford and Home Instead Abingdon, Didcot and Newbury, said: "We are absolutely thrilled with these results.
"These achievements are a testament to our teams' hard work and continuous efforts to provide exceptional home care to members of the local community whilst fostering a supportive working environment.
"All categories were filled with wonderful and inspiring individuals and companies from across the area.
"It was a real honour to be recognised alongside them. Well done to all winners and finalists."
Finalists were shortlisted from a pool of more than 150 entries across 30 services.
The ceremony, held at Cantley House Hotel in Wokingham on April 25, was graced by community and care industry figures.
Among them were Olympic boxing bronze medallist Hassan Azim and the executive director of adult services, health, and communities for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Kevin McDaniel.
