A South Indian inspired restaurant in Oxford has raised more than £1,500 to support vulnerable women in the city.
Dosa Darlings raised £1,513 for The Women’s Project through its International Women's Day campaign.
The restaurant donated half of the proceeds from every dosa sold from March 8, International Women's Day, to March 17.
The Women’s Project is part of the Homeless Oxfordshire Movement, which has seen a 40 per cent increase in women using its services in recent times.
The charity supports women with complex needs, including child welfare issues, family breakdown, historic abuse and domestic violence.
Michael Raphel, owner of Dosa Darlings, said: "I want to thank everyone who got behind our recent International Women's Day initiative.
"We were very humbled by the amount of people who really wanted to help support our drive in raising awareness and funds for The Women’s Project.
"It’s a fantastic charity and one we jumped at getting behind, especially in light of the concerning spike in women having to use its services."
He added: "Having recently called Oxford home, we want to support the local community as much as possible, particularly as everyone has been so welcoming.
"This is only the first of many charitable endeavours to support those in need, so watch this space."
Carli Flory, housing and resettlement worker at Homeless Oxfordshire’s Women’s Project, said: "We are so grateful for the support of Dosa Darlings, particularly around International Women’s Day.
"We know from our work across Oxfordshire that women often experience homelessness differently to men.
"They are more likely to be at risk of abuse and violence or of turning to sex work, and their homelessness is more likely to be hidden, meaning it often takes them longer to get the support they need.
"Homeless Oxfordshire’s Women’s Project provides a safe and secure environment where women can access support that is tailored to their needs.
"As a charity, this specific and vital work we do with women is only possible thanks to the generous donations from individuals and from organisations like Dosa Darlings.”
Dosa Darlings is part of the JM Socials group and offers food that marries authentic Kerala cuisine with a contemporary twist.
On their menu, alongside the traditional curries and biryani dishes, is the dosa, with flavour combinations including masala, dates and almond, and blue cheese and truffle.
Meanwhile, the cocktail list features the Bambo (sherry wine, dry vermouth, orange bitters), Paper Plane (bourbon, aperol, amaro, lemon) and the Keralan (rum, lime, pataka ginger, mint, Champagne, angostura bitters).
