A TRIAL date has been set for a Banbury man accused of assaulting and strangling another.
Shaun Johnson, 40, of West Bar Street, Banbury, appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (May 2) for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

Standing in the dock, he pleaded not guilty to one count each of affray, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and intentional strangulation of Connor Mallin on August 11 last year in Banbury.
A trial, which is expected to last four to five days, has been scheduled to take place at the same court on April 28 next year.
There is due to be a second defendant involved in the proceedings but it is unknown if they have been asked to plead yet in regards to the incident.
