A DRIVER has been fined after being caught using a disabled badge unlawfully.
Paul Steele, of Chestnut Avenue, Faringdon, was caught on May 2 last year displaying a disabled person’s badge for while parking in Bath.
The badge was displayed to enable the use of a disabled parking bay but the 72-year-old was using it unlawfully.

He was charged with ‘unlawful use of a disabled person’s badge in relation to the parking of a vehicle’ and appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on April 17 this year where he pleaded guilty.
Steele was fined £146 for the offence as well as being ordered to pay court costs of £350 and a victim surcharge of £58.
The total amount the driver will need to pay is £554 by May this year.
