A FIRST hearing has taken place in court for a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a village near Abingdon.
Joshua Walker, 34, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (April 30) charged with two counts of assault of a woman by penetration and causing a woman to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity.

It is alleged that Walker sexually assaulted a woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, in Clifton Hampden near Abingdon, on August 4 last year.
He appeared in the lower court on Tuesday morning for his first hearing and the case has now been adjourned.
Walker, of Lake Street, Oxford, is now due to appear in Oxford Crown Court on May 30 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
