There was severe disruption to trains this morning as some rush-hour services did not run to and from Oxford.
Chiltern Railways's services terminated and started at Oxford Parkway as opposed to Oxford.
The rail operator said this was done to aid operational recovery as the service was already running late.
Passengers on the available services complained of serious overcrowding.
A spokesperson said: "We're sorry that customers were inconvenienced by these part-cancellations this morning."
