A Botley Road 'Welcome to Oxford' sign was damaged with spray paint in an incident last Monday.
The criminal damage took placed in Oxford on April 22 and Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Peter Johns, based at Oxford's police station, said: “I am appealing to anybody who was in the area and believe they may have witnessed this incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“I would also like to like to appeal to anyone who has any dash-cam, CCTV or camera footage of the incident, to please check this and contact us if it has captured anything that could assist this investigation.
