AFTER a trial, a man has been cleared of rape after meeting a young girl at a cocktail bar in Oxford.
Ronan Murphy, 27, was accused of raping a young teenager he met in The Oxo Bar in George Street on December 15, 2021.
The pair could be seen on CCTV kissing outside the bar before going back to a Didcot hotel.

It was the prosecution’s case that the teenager was ‘too drunk to consent’ to the sexual activity so Mr Murphy was charged with one count each of rape and assault by penetration.
However, a jury found Mr Murphy, of Wickham Road, Harrow in Middlesex, not guilty of both charges after a trial at Oxford Crown Court on Monday (April 29).
Mr Murphy cried in court as he was dismissed.
