A driver has been injured in a crash involving a utility pole by a pub near Bicester.

The road was closed for around an hour as firefighters removed parts of the roof to release the driver who suffered minor injuries.

The collision involved a utility pole supporting electrical cables, which made the efforts to release the driver "difficult" as it meant working around them ensuring the safety of the firefighters.
Bicester crew manager Lewis Parker said: "I cannot stress enough the importance of wearing your seatbelt.
"Thankfully the driver was wearing theirs on this occasion which minimised their injuries."
