A popular outdoor pool is set to reopen after its winter closure.

Woodstock Open Air Pool will be re-opening for the 2024 season on Saturday May 25.

Initially this will be for cold water swim sessions until July 9.

From July 20 to September 1 there will be warm water sessions in time for the school summer holidays.

The four-lane 25-metre heated swimming pool has changing rooms, toilets, and a reception area to buy refreshments and ice creams. 

The pool also has a diving board and dive pit at a depth of 3.5metres.

In the past it has been open from April to the end of August.

But last year the schedule had to be put back due to soaring energy costs and the pool did not open until July 22.

However, there were additional activities on offer including diving lessons, learn to swim courses, pool party sessions, and the ‘bring your dog for a swim’ at the end of the season.
