A comedy clown is set to visit Henley as part of his first headline tour.
Star of Giffords Circus, Tweedy The Clown, is embarking on the tour with his brand-new show, Tweedy's Massive Circus.
The tour will be at The Culden Fawn Estate in Henley from June 6-16 after opening in Stratford Upon Avon on May 24.
Tweedy, a star of Giffords Circus for more than 16 years, is stepping out to start his own circus show.
He is a contemporary vaudeville-style clown who performs in theatre and circuses as well as TV and film.
In 2023 he was named in the King’s New Year Honours List as he received a British Empire Medal for his services to the circus and local community.
He will be joined on his tour by Sam Goodburn, a comedy and stunt performer, Reuben Greeph, an actor and musical director, and actor Loren O'Dair.
Tweedy said: "I can't wait to start touring Tweedy's Massive Circus in our tiny big top.
"A show where the clowns are in charge of everything. What could possibly go wrong?
"A chaotic, circus, clown show of magic, mirth and mayhem."
Tweedy was described as "a true genius" by Time Out, who said he had "the audience crying with laughter”.
He has also received praise from The Stage, who said the act "was timed to perfection, innovative, wonderfully visual and very, very funny”.
