A former butcher shop could be turned into a new off-licence under new plans to sell alcohol for the vacant site.
The owner of The Blue Texel, in Launton, near Bicester, publicly announced the decision to close the shop last July due to the cost-of-living crisis.
The announcement said rising running costs made it less attractive to keep the shop open before adding the business has also had to deal with road closures on all corners at various times.

An application has now been submitted to sell alcohol at the now-unused site
Cherwell District Council has confirmed the application was received on April 9.
A notice on the shopfront says the store would be open from 9.15am to 9.30pm every day.
However, the council said it has not received the required evidence from the applicant of their display of site notices, or a copy of their newspaper advertised consultation.
The council added the applicant must provide evidence of both before their application can be considered.
Householder Gabor Vilcsek said: “I think it's a good idea. It would be refreshing to be able to pick up bits locally when you are cooking and need something.
“I would welcome something with a bit more choice and it is a bonus that is open until 9.30pm.”
Anyone wishing to make comments on this application can do so in writing to the licensing officer at Cherwell District Council.
