Pupils at Wallingford School are celebrating after winning medals at a rowing regatta.

Year 11 student and his rowing partner Fergus picked up a bronze medal in the regional rowing competition in Nottingham at the weekend.

The school said on Facebook: "Many of our students that row for Wallingford Rowing Club competed in the Junior Inter-Regional Regatta in Nottingham.

"Congratulations to Harry, Year 11 (who represents Wallingford Rowing Club and Thames Upriver), and partner on winning bronze in the pairs."

Several other students had success at the rowing competition too. 

Tom, Seth, Seth and Sean won gold and Arthur won silver in the skulls. 

Wallingford Rowing Club is a successful rowing club on the longest uninterrupted stretch of the Upper Thames. 

It has more than 300 members and a well-equipped gym.
