A warning sign to motorists near a fatal crash that took the life of a five-year-old boy is more than 10-years-old.
The crash happened on the B4011 in Blackthorn, near the junction with Thame Road, between a Ford Focus and a KTM motorcycle.
This occurred at around 2pm on April 14 and took the life of Teddy Hickman.
Less than a mile from the junction of the fatal crash, a worn-down sign alerts drivers to a high number of collisions on the B4011 that took place in the past three years before the sign went up.

Oxfordshire County Council has confirmed the sign was installed by the Thames Valley Safer Roads Partnership (TVSRP), which was in existence between 2000 and 2011, meaning it is more than a decade old.
The warning tells drivers to “take extra care” saying there have been 57 casualties in three years including six motorcyclists.
The partnership comprised the police, all the highway authorities in the Thames Valley area, and the courts with its main role in the use of safety cameras for speed and red light offences.

However, it did extend into wider areas of road safety education including the provision of these ‘route alert’ signs on routes with collision problems.
Following the disbandment of the TVSRP the signs were not updated.
In 2007, a 50mph speed limit was introduced as a casualty reduction measure.
No arrests have been made as Thames Valley Police has launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident.

The family of Teddy released a tribute to him following the tragic incident describing the young boy as "beautiful" and "cheeky".
They said in a statement released this afternoon (April 18): “Teddy was the light of our lives and our entire world. He was the most beautiful little boy inside and out with the cheekiest smile.
“He was funny, loved to play tricks and so very clever.
“Teddy had the kindest soul, the most caring little boy who we will forever be proud of, the greatest privilege of our lives.
“He was loved by so many and brought immense joy to all our lives from the day he was born.
“We would ask for time and privacy to grieve the immeasurable loss of our little boy.”
The rider of the motorbike, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious injuries.
Several days after the crash the motorcyclist remained in hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Ford Focus, a woman in her 30s and a nine-year-old child, were also treated in the hospital for less serious injuries.
Both the driver and the nine-year-old child have been discharged from hospital.
Floral tributes and stuffed toys have been left at the junction in memory of Teddy.
