POLICE have warned Banbury residents that a helicopter is being deployed over the town today (April 20).
Thames Valley Police Cherwell's Facebook account has warned the community to expect a police helicopter in the area this afternoon.

However, the force has not explained as to why it has been deployed.
In the post, officers wrote: "Dear Banbury, yes the helicopter is up. No, it’s not for the football. We may update you later."
The Oxford Mail has contacted Thames Valley Police's press office for more information.
One eyewitness has reported seeing armed police in the centre of town.
It is unknown if the two are related at this stage.
Banbury United has hosted the champions of the National League North, Tamworth FC, at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium this afternoon with a 3pm kick off.
This was the final game of the season after Banbury's relegation had already been confirmed.
Ahead of the game, Banbury United warned "we can expect a larger than usual police presence".
