A WOMAN has accused a city bus driver of making an inappropriate comment towards her in Oxfordshire.

Writing about the alleged incident in a public post on Friday (April 19), the bus passenger claimed a driver for Oxford Bus Company said: "Now you're going to make me late if I have to get the ramp out," when she tried to board.

The passenger, who we are not naming, said the comment did not make her 'feel great' when she was just trying to get to work.

Responding to the message, a spokesman for Oxford Bus Company said: "We have responded to our customer’s tweet requesting she contacts us directly so we can log her complaint and investigate her claim in full.

"We are sorry for any distress caused and would like to reassure customers that our drivers receive stringent training, uphold high standards and claims of this nature are incredibly rare.”
