A Greggs in Oxford has reopened days after an unexpected mystery closure.
The popular bakery chain has four locations in the city but one of these was closed from Saturday, April 13, until Wednesday, April 17.
This is the Greggs that is located in the Templars Square shopping centre where customers could find the shutters down throughout the four days.
A printed notice was pinned to the closed shopfront which read: “We’re sorry.
“We’ve had to temporarily close our shop for essential maintenance.
“Sorry for the disappointment. We’ll be back open again soon.”

Some Oxford customers were left frustrated by the multi-day closure as they wanted to purchase food from the popular chain.
“It was closed Saturday as well I didn’t take any lunch in at work Saturday or today,” said Cherie Cook on Monday.
“The place was closed there were two people in the store today but nothing happened, they were just mopping the floor.”
Kelsea Lee added: “We wanted a sausage roll yesterday!”
It is unknown what the exact reason was besides maintenance and for how long the bakery shop has been shut.
The Oxford Mail has approached Greggs for further comment on the sudden temporary closure.
