A pub wants to increase its outdoor space to stop “overcrowding” inside the venue.
The Black Horse, off Banbury Road in Kidlington, has applied to put a pergola in its beer garden in an effort to ensure the indoor areas of the pub are less prone to overfilling.
The pergola would be made out of wood and covered with transparent polycarbonate sheeting.

Plans also include building a new entrance area to the Greene King pub.
A planning statement reads: “The planned works will increase the customer appeal of the pub by providing a clear entrance area to the main building and providing additional outdoor space which is sheltered from inclement weather and improving the visual appeal of the premises.
"This will thereby be ensuring the economic viability of the pub going into the future.”
