A fashion exhibition coming to Oxford is set to champion sustainable clothing.

'What Are You Wearing?', which has been inspired by Bay Garnett, will be at Oxford's North Wall Arts Centre from April 17 to May 4.

It will showcase sustainable fashion choices and examine fast fashion culture.

Ms Garnett said: "Second hand has become an antidote to that real fast fashion culture.

"You're investing - and you're thinking what do I like?

"With the situation with the climate, it is a more sustainable way to shop."

The display will feature Oxfam-sourced outfits and photographic contributions from the charity's Second Hand September campaigns.

Exhibition goers can also engage with a presentation by textile designer Kate Turnbull on natural dyeing techniques, and a talk from fashion sustainability advocate, Aja Barber.

A screening of "Fashion Reimagined" will address the need for industry change.

The exhibit will also invite visitors to share their creative responses both at the venue and online.

'What Are You Wearing?' was created in collaboration with St Edward’s School, Oxford, and draws inspiration from Oxfam's Second Hand September.

Sustainability is central to the exhibit's ethos, utilising elements like rescued mannequins and digital-only materials.

Visitors can pick up copies of Ms Garnett's 'Style and Substance - Why What We Wear Matters' and Ms Barber's 'Consumed', which both address the intersection of fashion, sustainability, and consumerism.
