Emergency repair works have started taking place on the A34 in Oxford this morning (Thursday, April 11).
One lane is closed northbound between the Hinksey Hill Interchange and the Botley Interchange for the unscheduled work.
Traffic is said to be “coping well” while the repair works take place.

It comes after works at the Botley caused months of delays for drivers before fully reopening last month.
Gas company SGN had been carrying out works at the interchange alongside National Highways carrying out repair works to the bridge structure.
Work on the roundabout over the A34 at the busy commuter junction started last September and was completed ahead of schedule in March.
The interchange had been reduced to a single lane of traffic for the scheduled works.
The Oxford Mail has approached National Highways and Oxfordshire County Council for more information on the emergency works.
