Police have given a description of a man who has allegedly fallen into the River Thames in Oxford.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon as emergency services raced to the city’s waterway after reports of a man falling in.

A police helicopter could also be spotted circling above the water throughout the afternoon as police officers and firefighters urgently patrolled the waterway.
It was confirmed that a man had gone into the water when a police officer could be heard telling nearby members of the public that someone “had fallen into the river”.
Thames Valley Police has now provided an update on the description of the missing man.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Search efforts are ongoing but as of yet the man has not yet been located.
“The man is believed to be a white man in his sixties and wearing a flat cap.
“Members of the public will see a large presence of officers and other emergency services.”
