A TRIAL for a Porsche driver accused of injuring a woman and young boy in a crash has gone ahead in her absence.
Yu Yung, 25, of Canary Wharf, East London, was due to appear at Oxford Crown Court on Monday (April 8) charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving in Bicester.
However, it is believed that the young driver has ‘voluntarily absconded’ and it was agreed that the trial will go ahead in her absence.

It was heard the incident occurred on December 27, 2022, on the A41 between Westcott Venture Park and Waddesdon at about 2.10pm while Yung was driving to Bicester Village shopping centre.
Yung, who driving a red Porsche, was driving behind her friend in a Mercedes.
The pair were driving in separate cars as they were heading to different places after shopping, Yung had told police.
It is the prosecution’s case that the duo may have been ‘racing’ as the Mercedes driver had overtaken a car, swiftly followed by Yung.
But Yung told the police she thought she had ‘enough time and space to overtake. However, her vehicle crash into a white Suzuki S-Cross.

It was heard that the woman had a partially collapsed lung and fractured ribs. She was in hospital until January 12, 2023 in the intensive care unit.
Yung and the Mercedes driver were arrested after the crash.
Her police interview was read out to the jury on Tuesday (April 9), she said: “I was not racing.
"The car in front was driving below the national speed limit at like 40mph and I noticed my friend was trying to overtake.
“I thought I had enough time and space to do so, I don’t know what happened next. When I was conscious again, the ambulance was there.”
