Emergency services are desperately searching for a man in the River Thames in Oxford.
Fire crews, police and paramedics raced to the incident at Osney, near Botley Road, at around 1pm on Tuesday, March 9.
A helicopter could also be spotted circling above the water throughout the afternoon as police officers and firefighters urgently patrolled the waterway.
A police officer could be heard telling nearby members of the public that someone “had fallen into the river”.
A spokesperson for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service later said: "A call came in to fire and rescue at 13:23 relating to reports of someone in the river at Osney.
"Four fire engines and a fire and rescue boat were sent in response."
Fire and rescue have also confirmed they are actively searching for a male suspected to be in the river.
