A group of would-be thieves attempted to raid an Oxfordshire supermarket’s petrol station ATM.
The incident occurred at the Sainsbury’s Petrol Station on Limborough Road in Wantage at around 2.10am on Friday, April 5.
Offenders gained access to the petrol station by using tools to cut open the locks on the main door and interior security shutter.
After entering, they forced open the back of the door to the ATM and attempted to remove the cash cassettes.
Thames Valley Police publicly appealed later on Friday, asking for anyone with footage to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are specifically appealing to anyone who may have dashcam and was travelling on the A338 between Grove and Wantage around 0220am.
“If you have any CCTV/ring doorbell footage or relevant information, you can get in touch by calling 101 quoting reference number 43240154877.”
