The Oxford Mail has opened a book of condolence for a woman who has died in a country park in the city.

Carolyn Achia, 28, was found by a member of the public at Shotover Country Park in Old Road in Headington on Thursday, March 21.

At Oxford Coroner’s Court on Wednesday (April 3), an inquest opening was held into Miss Achia’s death.

It was heard that she was a research scientist who lived in Benson Road, Headington. She was born in Kenya.

A post-mortem examination was carried out and the medical cause of death has been provided as ‘hanging pending further investigation’.

A full inquest into her death will take place at the same court on September 26 at 10am.
