A TWO year old child has died after being found unresponsive behind a reclining armchair.
Emaan Raza died at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington on May 19 last year after she was found unresponsive behind a family member’s reclining armchair in Tawney Street, Oxford, on the same day.
A doctor verified her death at 2.04pm that day and a post-mortem examination was carried.

An inquest opening at Oxford Coroner’s Court on March 27, heard the medical cause of death was provided as ‘features in keeping with crush asphyxia’.
Crush asphyxia occurs when there is pressure placed on the chest so that normal respiration cannot occur.
A full inquest into her death will take place at the same court on April 15 at 10am.
