A TRAINEE Salvation Army officer who was found dead at home was believed to be ‘self-detoxing’ at the time.
Paul Devine, 58, was found in his bedroom at his home in Heyford Hill Lane, Littlemore, on February 13 this year.
The emergency services were called an South Central Ambulance Service verified his death.

An inquest opening held at Oxford Coroner’s Court on Wednesday, March 27 heard that Mr Devine had been ‘self-detoxing at home’ at the time.
A post-mortem examination was carried out and the medical cause of death has been provided at bronchopneumonia and multi-drug toxicity.
At the inquest opening, a date for a full inquest into Mr Devine’s death was set to take place at 3pm on May 8.
