Oxford’s Florence Pugh has given Marvel fans a sneak peek at the upcoming Thunderbolts movie.
The Hollywood actress was born in the city in 1996 and has found fame with roles in films including Midsommer, Don’t Worry Darling and Oppenheimer.
Her latest project is the superhero blockbuster Thunderbolts which is produced by Marvel and expected to release on May 2, 2025.
Ms Pugh will reprise her role of Yelena Belova having previously starred as the character in the 2019 Black Widow film and the 2021 Hawkeye series.
The new film follows a group of antiheroes that go on missions for the government and will be the 36th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Now that filming has got underway in Atlanta, Ms Pugh has given fans a first look at the set via a video post uploaded to the social media site Instagram.
In the video, the actress is in costume as Yelena and she "sneakily" takes fans on a tour around the set.
During this she reveals the new Thunderbolts logo on the back of production chairs.
"Hey guys, how you doin'," she said.
"I know that I've dropped off for a little beat, but partly that's because I was whisked off to Atlanta to go and shoot a movie that I'm not really allowed to talk much about. But I can show you things... Sneakily."
She then turned the camera to show off her new costume for Yelena's Black Widow which includes a jumpsuit and utility belt while the actress had new cropped hair and blue eyeshadow.
Ms Pugh then went into one of the studios to give what she called a "sneak peek" at some of the movie's sets.
She pointed to one of the elements and said: "What's that? What's going to be in there?"
The actress then showed director Jake Schreier before the pair joked about what they could and couldn't disclose about the upcoming film.
Ms Pugh ended the video by showing members of the film's crew and said: "We can say 'we're having an amazing time', and I can't wait to show you what we've made!"
Thunderbolts had originally been set for release in July 2025, before it recently had its release brought forward to the May date.
This was part of a wider shake-up to the Marvel release calendar, with the upcoming Fantastic Four movie pushed back to summer.
The movie will see the return of several Marvel characters including Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian and Wyatt Russell as US Agent AKA John Walker.
