Christ Church Cathedral marked Palm Sunday with a donkey-led procession through Oxford's St Aldates.
This annual event, held on March 24 this year, commemorates Jesus' entry into Jerusalem at the beginning of the Easter week riding on a donkey,
The celebration in Oxford started with palm leaf crosses being distributed to the congregation for blessing.
Those who had gathered then sang hymns as they made their way to the Cathedral, accompanied by a brass trio.
The group was led by Monty, a resident of the Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary in Brightwell-cum-Sotwell.
Palm Sunday processions are a significant tradition within the Christian community, dating back 1600 years.
More information about the Cathedral's upcoming Easter services can be found on its website.
