Hollywood star Damian Lewis spontaneously sang I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) for Scottish fans who travelled to Oxford to see him.
The actor is famed for his roles in Billions and Homeland but recently began a music career, releasing his debut album Mission Creep in the summer of 2023.
Mr Lewis, who starred as legendary actor Steve McQueen in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, recently started a live music tour across the UK.
He called at Oxford on Friday, March 22 to play a gig at the O2 Academy and played a selection of his songs from the album as well as new tunes set for a later release.
Amongst the crowd at the show were a couple of women who had travelled down from Scotland to watch the performance.
The pair made Mr Lewis aware of this after shouting during a break between songs and given their nationality and the distance they had travelled, the singer replied hilariously.
He spontaneously started to sing the classic Scottish song I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers for the pair.
The women as well as the rest of the crowd were left stunned, but then joined in with singing and clapping as Mr Lewis put on quite the show.
Combining blues and rock, the 53-year-old Band of Brothers star made sure it was a gig to remember for the Oxford audience, especially so for the Scottish contingent.
