Oxford Rugby Club will be launching a women's XV for the 24/25 season.
The club said it wants to "provide quality rugby for women across the county and build on the success of the Red Roses work of promoting women's England rugby".
To kickstart the venture, a head coach and coaches are needed to undertake the long-term project of building the team from scratch.
The club also need players to join the team, and are inviting anybody who is 18 or over, regardless of their experience level.
Those who are interested in becoming a coach or playing for the team are being encouraged to contact chairman John Brodley via email at chairman@oxfordrfc.com or through social media.
