A class from a Steeple Aston school is among 10 finalists for Britain's Funniest Class 2024.
Dr Radcliffe’s School year five class, also known as The Amazing Class, is squaring off against other schools from across the country in the Beano competition.
Primary schools across Britain submitted their best jokes, which have been whittled down by Beano.
The joke that won the Oxfordshire class recognition is: "Why did Smiffy spill his fizzy drink on the floor?
"Because the sign said 'wet floor'."
This year, the annual contest received record-breaking participation, making it the largest since its inception five years ago.
Mike Stirling, director of mischief at Beano Studios, said: "The Amazing Class at Dr Radcliffe's C of E Primary School, and their equally amazing teacher have slipped a hilarious Beano character into an everyday situation.
"But will they clean up in the competition?"
This jokes are now up for a public vote to determine the winning class.
The competition is also introducing the Britain’s Funniest Teacher title this year, celebrating educators who inspire humour in classrooms.
The winning class will enjoy golden Gnasher medals, Beano comic subscriptions, a trip to Gulliver’s Theme Park, and they will be brought to life in a Bash Street Kids Comic strip - a first in the comic's history.
Voting for Britain’s Funniest Class will close on March 28 and can be done on the Beano website.
