The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:

GARY WICKENS, 42, of Witney Crescent, Bicester, pleaded guilty to one count of theft on August 23 last year after stealing £62.30 of items of Lidl as well as one count of possession of a Class B drug, cannabis, and one count of theft from a Co-Op on August 16 after stealing £58.55 of various items. He was given a community order to complete 30 days of a Building Better Relationship programme, 12 days of rehabilitation activity and 100 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay back the total amount he stole from the stores in compensation as well as an additional £100. There was a forfeiture and destruction order made for the drugs. There were no other orders for costs.

JAMES MESSENGER, 23, of Farmington Drive, Witney, pleaded guilty to drug driving in Abingdon on August 23 last year in Colwell Drive, Abingdon. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £216. There were court costs of £85.

JACK WALKER, 19, of Churchward Close, Grove, pleaded guilty to drug driving in Wantage on September 5 last year. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £276. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £110.

PATRICK GAUGHAN, 31, of Field Avenue, Oxford, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Oxford on February 21 this year with 84 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 40 months, reduced by 40 weeks, and fined £325. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £130.

JOSEPH SANTOS, 36, of Evenlode Close, Bicester, pleaded guilty to one counts of theft on February 29 this year in Banbury after stealing power tools and work tools to the value of £613.88 from B&Q. He was given a community order to complete 10 days of rehabilitation activity and was ordered to pay £306 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.

ANDREA PATERSON, 57, of Goose Green Close, Oxford, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer on April 7 last year in Oxford as well as one count of racially aggravated assault on the same day of Colin Griffiths. She was given a community order to complete 30 days of rehabilitation activity and was ordered to pay £50 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.
