A YOUNG man is due in court charged with attempted murder after a man was attacked with a knife near the Central Oxford Mosque.
Hassan Hussain, 24, was charged with one count of attempted murder after the incident on March 13 at 7pm.
A man in his 40s was attacked and ran into the Central Oxford Mosque to seek help.
He remains in a stable condition in hospital.

Hussain appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (March 16) and his case was sent to Oxford Crown Court to be heard on April 12.
Hussain, of Nye Bevan Close, Oxford, was also charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and possession of a knife blade or sharp-pointed article in a public place.
