A dance and jazz band has entertained audiences with a two-hour performance at the Westgate Centre.
Staged in Leiden Square, The Velvet Tones played to a crowd of shoppers and dancers outside the John Lewis store.
The band hopes to perform soon with musicians from Oxford's Dutch twin city, Leiden, which the square is named after.
The Velvet Tones play songs from Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Frank Sinatra among others.
The band has a classic Count Basie line-up, with five saxophones, four trombones, four trumpets, and a four-piece rhythm section of keyboard, guitar, bass and drums.
The band performs on the third Thursday of alternate months with a guest band at Oxford Golf Club.
More information about The Velvet Tones can be found on their website.
