An 83-year-old has reunited with a bell ringing group which she was last a member of in 1967.
Rosemary Henson received the visit from Launton Handbell Ringers at her care home in Bicester.
The idea for the visit stemmed from Ms Henson saying her perfect day would involve seeing the group again after more than 50 years.
The ensemble, founded in 1951, performs songs and melodies for locals and has more than 250 bells, the oldest of which is 300-yeras-old.
Ms Henson said: "It felt absolutely wonderful to ring the bells again.
"My father used to play musical instruments and I always regretted not learning more myself.
"When I joined the Launton Handbell Ringers in 1967, I felt a real sense of achievement.
"I was so impressed with them today and I really appreciated being invited to play again."
Zoe Spillane, home manager at Launton Grange, said: "Our residents’ dreams and passions are extremely important to us; we want to give them as many 'perfect days' as we can.
"Rosemary's face was so full of joy when she started ringing the bells again, and to watch such a wonderful memory being made was an honour."
Launton Grange hosts an over 65’s afternoon tea every Sunday from 2:30 pm.
It is free to attend but booking is required and can be done by calling 01869 227150 or emailing Launton.grange@idealcarehomes.co.uk.
