Cumnor 2nd gave their survival chances a massive shot in the arm by beating nearest rivals Witney Mills and drawing level with them at the foot of the table.
Paceman Ayaz Khan wreaked havoc on a damp pitch to take 6-36 as Mills were rolled over for 102.
The somewhat slower Steve Slade chipped in with 3-19 as only Ross Morgan of the home batsmen made much progress.
Mark Kirsten (49) then held together Cumnor's reply, and although Pierre Lefort took 3-40 the visitors managed to reach 103-6.
Witney Mills 7pts, Cumnor 2nd 25.
An impressive 68 by Edward Somerton prevented Cropredy being embarrassed at home to Hanborough, but was not quite enough to save his side from defeat in a tense finish.
Somerton scored most of the hosts' runs as they were bundled out for 113, Craig Wood claiming 3-22.
DR Sarvajith then hit 32, while James Coleman took 3-45 as Hanborough scraped home by one wicket.
Cropredy 10, Hanborough 25.
Kingston Bagpuize are still in danger of being sucked into the relegation dogfight after collecting just five points at Dinton 2nd.
Kingston struggled to 132 all out after being inserted in bowler-friendly conditions.
Mike Morgan (4-48) and Kelvin Burrows (3-15) did the damage.
Matt Kelloway (51) then set Dinton's run chase, which was finished off by Jonny Patel (36no).
Dinton 2nd 25, Kingston Bagpuize 5.
Rain prevented leaders Sandford St Martin taking the field at home to Bledlow Village, and also caused the cancellation of Morris Motors Exiles' clash with second-placed Wolverton Town.
