A city centre road was cut off this morning following a crash.

Woodstock Road in Oxford was closed in both directions outside the Radcliffe Observatory at around 9.50am today (March 8) due to a crash. 

Bus companies Thames Travel and Oxford Bus Company said buses were diverted and could not serve Radcliffe Infirmary, Plantation Road and Canterbury Road.

Witnesses told the Oxford Mail there were two police cars and an ambulance at the scene.

Traffic was diverted towards Jericho.

The road had been cleared and normal bus service resumed by 10.15am.

Thames Valley Police confirmed there had a been a crash.

Police declined to release any further details due to their policy not to release information on crashes unless it's post on their website. 

No arrests were made.
