A Watchfield man has been included in a four-person team to compete in the World Team Cup European Qualification wheelchair tennis competition.
The team, including Oxfordshire's 17-year-old Oliver Cox, is set to compete in Latvia from March 13 to 17.
Mr Cox is a World Team Cup champion having been part of the junior team which claimed a win at the 2023 World Team Cup in Portugal.
Playing in Latvia could secure him a spot on the LTA Colour Holders Programme, a feat already achieved by Gary Cox.
The other members are 17-time Grand Slam champion Andy Lapthorne, Greg Slade, and Gary Cox.
The team will be representing Great Britain in a bid to return to the quad World Group which consists of eight nations.
The quad World Group is the wheelchair equivalent of the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup.
Andy Lapthorne, who debuted at the World Team Cup in 2009, said: "I’m really excited to get back into World Team Cup competition for the first time since the pandemic and it’s great to be part of a full-strength Great Britain team again this year.
"The World Team Cup has provided me with some of my best memories as a player and I’m looking forward to getting to Lativa and helping Great Britain get back into the World Group, where we belong.”
