Oxford United has shared details of the club's new Fan Engagement Plan.
Its goal is to enhance fan engagement through multiple points of contact and channels.
The plans spring from advice from the Football Supporters' Association and incorporating views from the Oxford United Supporters' Panel and OxVox.
Integral to the plan is the formation of a Fan Advisory Board (FAB).
This initiative would enable Oxford United to strengthen its dialogue with fans further, and tap into their knowledge and insights.
Before launching the FAB, the club has invited feedback from fans.
The club aims to maintain its relationship with fan-led groups such as the OUSP and OxVox while introducing the FAB to cooperate on club-wide matters.
The club also plans to hire a full-time supporter liaison officer, who will be the primary contact for fan concerns and suggestions.
Oxford United’s chief executive officer, Tim Williams, said: "I’m really pleased to be able to share details of our new fan engagement plan.
"We want to lead the way with meaningful dialogue with our fans and believe this is a significant step forward in how we achieve that.
"A lot of hard work has taken place behind the scenes to get us to this point, and I’d like to thank the Football Supporters’ Association, OUSP and OxVox for their support thus far."
The Fan Engagement Plan will be reviewed annually.
