Dancing enthusiasts have a day to mark in their calendars with a Spring Dance Festival set to bring 10 hours of workshops in one day in Oxford.

The Justice in Motion event, hosted by Dancin’ Oxford, will start at 10am on March 9 with a new dance workshop starting every hour, offering a medley of styles ranging from Tap and Breakdance to Bollywood and Contemporary.

Dancin’ Oxford director Claire Thompson said: "Physical theatre company, Justice in Motion has been an integral part of arts in Oxfordshire since its inception 10 years ago.

"We’re honoured to have Justice in Motion’s Deca’thon as part of Dancin’ Oxford’s Spring Dance Festival 2024."

The event is a fundraiser for Justice in Motion and attendees are encouraged to partake in as many workshops as they wish.

No advance booking is needed – participants can turn up to the Old Fire Station and make a donation at the door.

Justice in Motion’s artistic director Anja Meinhardt said: "I have enjoyed being part of Oxford’s dance community since before Justice in Motion came into existence.

"Dancing colleagues and friends will be joining us to make our Deca’thon day of dance welcoming and joyous.

"And we’re looking forward to lots of old and new acquaintances coming to join in."

Deca’thon forms part of the company’s 10th anniversary celebrations, complementing the ongoing '10 Years in Motion' exhibition at the Old Fire Station, lasting until March 30.
