Two pizza places in Oxfordshire have been handed new food hygiene ratings.

Herbies Pizza, a takeaway in Henley, was handed a score of four-out-of-five following an inspection on January 30.

Elsewhere in the county, Fireaway Pizza in Banbury, was given the same score after an assessment on the same day.

It means that of Cherwell's 224 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 164 (73 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.

The council's environmental health team is in charge of inspecting and rating hospitality venues on a zero to five scale with zero being the lowest score and five the highest.

Each inspection grades hygienic food handling, management of food safety and cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.
