Fans once again flocked to Jeremy Clarkson's farm shop which reopened following its annual winter closure.

Last year's reopening of Diddly Squat Farm Shop near Chipping Norton saw hundreds of fans flock to the site in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the 63-year-old Grand Tour presenter.

Mr Clarkson was in fact attending the Bahrain Grand Prix over the weekend.

Before last February's shop reopening Oxfordshire County Council issued a statement, urging customers to park "safely and considerately".

However, many parked along the grass verges and caused hold-ups for locals.

Queues were much shorter at the shop this weekend although cars lined up to get into the new 70-space car park opposite the shop.

Mr Clarkson was finally granted planning permission for the facility following a year-long battle with West Oxfordshire District Council.

The council had refused permission for the car park as they said it would harm an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.'

Mr Clarkson appealed and won, however, the rejection of his plans for a restaurant at the site were upheld.

The car park opened last August and soon became jam-packed with two-hour waits, forcing staff to open another field where a further 100 cars could park on grass.

Mr Clarkson recently admitted in his column in The Sun that a friend had advised him that a planning row with the council would make good material for his hit Amazon Prime series Clarkson’s Farm.

Season 3 of the show will air on Amazon Prime on May 3, 2024.
